By Road:

To the north of the village, the Anglers Rest is accessible from Manchester to the West and Sheffield to the East via the A57, Snake Pass. At the junction by the Ladybower Reservoir take the A6013 turning for Bamford. The Anglers Rest is on the left as you enter the main village from this direction.

Coming from the South of the village (Derby, Chesterfield, Hathersage, Castleton), take the right hand turn by the village green along Fidlers Well and then left along Taggs Knoll.

We have a large car park on two levels to the rear of the building.

By Bus:

Bus numbers 244, 273, 274, 275 stop at Bamford regularly, en route between Sheffield and Bakewell. A timetable for these routes is available to download from here.

By Train:

Bamford Railway Station is on the train line between Sheffield and Manchester. The Anglers Rest is about three quarters of a mile up the hill from the station along the main road.
